Samsung On A Budget – The Galaxy A03 Core
Not everyone can afford the expensive flagship smartphones. This is the reason why mobile phone manufacturers continue to create an affordable lineup of devices. In some markets, you can be surprised at how cheap a smartphone can be. Unknown brands may offer the lowest-priced devices, while others may still want a phone from trusted manufacturers.
Through the years, Samsung has always released an entry-level smartphone. This may not be heavy on the features, yet it still can deliver most of the services you would need on a smartphone. The Android Go Edition helped create phones that can run and load fast even with low memory. One of them is the Samsung Galaxy A03 Core, which was released just last December 2021.
Looking at the front view of the phone, it looks similar to other phones in their A-series lineup that has a waterdrop screen display. When you turn on the screen, it uses a standard Full HD LCD which is still a great color display compared to the ones used in the past entry-level phones of the brand. It has a plastic back and frame, which was used to reduce the manufacturing cost. At least, the phone has an over 80% screen-to-body ratio, great for watching movies or videos.
The good thing is that it has 2GB RAM and an Octa-core processor, compared to other brands that release entry-level phones which still use 1GB RAM. Another surprising feature is the non-removable 5000 mAh battery, which is bigger than most devices today. It has an internal memory of 32GB, with an expandable microSD card slot.
Frankly, there is not much to expect in the camera department. It has a standard 8MP camera with up to 4x digital zoom that can take great photos in the daylight. To help in dark environments, it is equipped with a LED flash. The front camera has a 5 MP that can also be used for either selfies or video calling. It still has a stereo 3.5mm earphone jack or connects to a Bluetooth-enabled wireless earphone. It still uses the micro USB for charging and can read files as it can support USB on the go function.
The phone costs around USD 109 and is usually sold in African, South Asian, and Southeast Asian markets. It is available in Black or Blue color, with a stripe design on the rear camera area that can remind you of the Galaxy S21 series. Other standard features include WiFi and 4G connectivity, GPS, and running Android 11 Go Edition.
New smartphone brands may release a better model than this phone, but some consumers would prefer to buy from a trusted brand. Besides, the warranty is more accessible as it has more partner service centers. For those who do not afford to buy an expensive smartphone, getting the Samsung Galaxy A03 Core could be the best option after all. It has the essential functions one would need on a smartphone yet it does not break the bank.
